Sara Koviak

Sara Koviak is the solo actor and producer of "The Civet," an award-winning short film by writer/director José Rivera. She has worked extensively with Rivera and will be joining him in September as a visiting artist working with students on the Fall 2023 New Works Lab production.

Koviak is a film and theater actor, as well as a former professional dancer. Her theater engagements include performances in Goodman Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, Contemporary American Theater Festival, Theater at the 14 Street Y, Lincoln Center and Metropolitan Playhouse. In addition to "The Civet," she performed leading roles in the award winning short film "The Fall of a Sparrow," written and directed by Rivera; the music video "Flying," directed by Peter Perenyi; and "Narcissus," directed by Joshua Kellerman, among others.
