Reshma Gajjar

Fall, 2022

Reshma Gajjar is a first generation American performing artist, actor, dancer and multi-hyphenate. Raised by her immigrant Indian parents in northern California and the only one in her family to pursue a career in the arts, she moved to Los Angeles on a scholarship to the Edge Performing Arts Center. She toured the world with Madonna and Ricky Martin, shared stages with Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry and Adele. She has worked on numerous films,  commercial and television sets including directors Spike Jonze, Katherine Bigelow and was Damien Chazelle's  "ingenue in the yellow dress"  recognized for opening the Oscar winning film, La La Land. She balances one foot in the industry and the other in the arts,  acting in independent films, modeling for inclusive brands and performing in immersive theater. While moving through all these spaces, she lets her humanity lead.
