Career goals: I want to combine my interests in policy, the arts, and human rights to help increase arts accessibility and the availability of arts education in under-resourced communities.
What brought you to Theater Studies? My friends in Hoof ‘n’ Horn could not speak more highly of the Theater Studies Department and their amazing experiences in the courses.
Favorite memories: The final dress rehearsals and final performances of every show I’ve done have always been filled with laughs and tears of joy in the best possible way.
What are you most proud of during your undergraduate years at Duke? I’m proud of finding a way to balance my passion for theater with my schoolwork because I think it made the difficulties of being a Duke undergrad much more enjoyable.
Why do you think the arts are essential? Without the arts we miss out on the opportunity to express ourselves through creativity, and the arts give us the ability understand difficult emotions and concepts in a unique and imaginative way.
