Career goals: One day, I would love to run a production company in Hollywood like Plan B Productions or Randall Park's Imminent Collision! My other secret goal is to be the first Daniel Kim on Google Images (looking at you Daniel Dae Kim lmao).

What brought you to Theater Studies? That would be the amazing professors and administrators in the Theater Department!!! They provided so much mentorship, warmth, and knowledge during these past few years, and I could not be more grateful to them for making my Duke experience so amazing! I would never have had the courage to pursue a career path in the arts without their support and dedication to their students.

Favorite memories: Filming short films with amazing people across campus (shout out to the Be Yourself team!); poker nights and hanging out with my favorite suitemates; kayaking a bioluminescent bay in Duke Engage Puerto Rico—feels like a dream; and exploring amazinggg restaurants with the Duke in L.A. program

What are you most proud of during your undergraduate years at Duke? Exploring different fields and career paths before pursuing a career in the arts/entertainment. No regrets!

Why do you think the arts are essential? While STEM helps you live, the arts make life worth living! Being able to create stories and to experience the collaborative processes of theater and film was the greatest education I could ask for. I learned how stories shaped history, the importance of media representation in society, how to think more creatively and confidently, and the joy of creating art with others!
