Lauren Yee, Playwright

The Department of Theater Studies hosts playwright, screen and television writer Lauren Yee for a brief artist residency engaging with students in its classes and rehearsal studios. Lee, this year's Premiere Writer-in-Residence at Signature Theater, authored "In a Word," a script selected by Duke Players for its spring show. The play is directed by Theater Studies Graduation with Distinction Candidate Caroline Edmondson (T'26), supervised by Professor Jeff Storer. It runs March 26 - 29, 2026 in Brody Theater.
