Dancing in the Bonehouse

Dancing in the Bonehouse

Kelly McCrum

Spring, 2015

Adapted from Davida Wills Hurwin's novel A Time For Dancing by Kelly McCrum for her Senior Distinction Project, the play is told through movement as much as dialogue, and follows two high school seniors trying to finish their final year and pull off a showcase that could send their dance company on tour. When Juliana is diagnosed with cancer, however, she and her best friend Samantha have their lives up-ended and must confront illness, isolation, and the simultaneous power and frailty of the body.
