A Note about Enrollment:

The final enrollment cap for each section of THEATRST 145S Acting will be raised to 12 with 4 seats reserved for Juniors, 4 seats reserved for Sophomores, and 4 seats reserved for First-Year students.  If you fall within these groups and the class is closed, please add yourself to the wait list and you will be added to the course if a seat becomes available.

The fundamentals of acting realism explored through exercises, scene study, and text analysis. Introduction to voice and movement training for the actor. Theory and text analysis studied in their historical context as well as their contemporary relevance.

Notes

Please note that THEATRST 145S Acting can satisfy either the Gateway requirement of the Theater Major, or its Area 1: Acting, Directing requirement, but not both. This class is offered graded-only, no S/U.
