Bio
Ondine is graduating with a major in Theater Studies and a minor in Cinematic Arts. She joined the student-run Duke Players Executive Council as a first-year student and now serves as Co-President. She appeared in Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. (Duke Players), a staged reading of guest artist Benjamin Benne's play Fantasma (Theater Studies New Works Labs), and served as Assistant Director for the Theater Studies Mainstage She Kills Monsters with the guidance and encouragement of Professor Jeff Storer. Other appearances include Taking Up Space, fury, Me Too Monologues, a staged reading of The Intelligence Services Have Just Reported - We Have Been Fighting All this Time by Theater Studies alum Anastacia Pogodina, and Last Summer at Bluefish Cove (Donna and assistant stage manager). She participated in the Duke Arts+ verbatim theater workshop on For the Bible Tells Me So and For They Know Not What They Do. She directed Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation for Duke Players and most recently acted in the Theater Studies Mainstage The Liar. Ondine created the Duke Players house course, now in its second year, and received grants to connect Theater Studies alumni with current students. She thanks Duke Players for making her college experience and the Department of Theater Studies for the freedom to play and take risks. Ondine is deeply grateful to Professor Jeff Storer, who welcomed her into Brody Theater during her very first semester at Duke, and has remained a steady mentor throughout her time here, and to Dr. Darren Gobert, whose guidance has profoundly shaped her understanding of theater and storytelling. She hopes to stay connected with her professors and the friends who have made this community so special. After graduation, she will join United Talent Agency's New Tech Department in Los Angeles. In her free time, Ondine enjoys surfing, spending time with her rescue pup Ringo, adding to her sticker collection, and writing about herself in the third person.
