Bio
Bri'Yon Watts is from Chicago, Illinois, graduating with a double major in Psychology and Theater Studies. Bri'Yon played Benny in Hoof 'n' Horn's production of In the Heights and has been active in Duke's theater community as well as DUU Freewater Presentations throughout his time on campus. Some of his short film appearances include BLUNT, Meet Me by Our Spot, and Last Day of May. He is excited for the upcoming release of SLAM!, his latest short film project. When he's not on stage or in front of a camera, his is found singing with United in Praise Gospel Choir, performing with Duke's premiere sketch comedy group Inside Joke, or diving into social psychology research with the Identity and Diversity Lab. Bri'Yon's participation in The Liar was his last Duke performance cementing his desire to go to Los Angeles and pursue professional acting post grad. He intends to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting in the near future so that he can pay it forward and teach the importance of theater and performance, as it was presented to him. Bri'Yon is grateful for every opportunity afforded to him at Duke and the work born out of everything he has learned.
