Topics in Arts Management (seminar) Production Management | THEATRST 290S-5
on-campus and online
T/TH 3:30-4:45pm
Instructor: Thomas Quintas

Students will explore the role and function of a Production Manager within an organization. Though the role is similar in most entertainment fields, we will be looking through the perspective of a Theatrical Production Manager. Some of the topics the class will look at, explore, and develop projects around include: scheduling, budgeting, personnel management, and working with unions—as well as exploring the difference between a manager and leader, and looking ahead to solve problems. As time allows and based on the interest of students in the class, we will look at film production, trade shows, conventions, and other forms of entertainment.
