*NOTE: Students who matriculated before Fall 2011 may substitute a second Reading Theater seminar for the Theater Today requirement

Areas of Specialization
Theater Studies majors and minors are encouraged to focus their electives in one of the following areas of specialization in order to deepen their knowledge and skills:
- Critical Studies in Theater and Performance: 201 or 390S-4, 290-5, 533S.
- Dramatic Writing: 480S, 273S, 290-5
- Acting: 246S or 345S, 248S, 290-5
- Design: an additional two courses from 261S-263S or 290S-5; 290-5
- Dramaturgy & Directing: 346S, 390S-1, 290-5
Note: Theater Studies 290-5 “Mainstage Production” is an integrative experience and can be taken at any time in the student’s undergraduate career.
