The New Works Lab is an initiative that allows students to work closely with playwrights creating new works of American theater. As these established, visiting artists explore new ideas or refine current projects alongside professional colleagues, students with aspirations in a variety of theater careers gain firsthand experience in a theater maker’s artistic process. The lab ends with a public performance that might range from a dramatic reading to a workshop production.
