Auditions for Spring 2019 Mainstage

Theater Studies department mainstage production for spring 2019 is Bad Roads by Ukrainian playwright Natal'ya Vorozhbit.  This new documentary theater piece will be directed by Professor Jody McAuliffe.  More information here  Professor McAuliffe is casting for 7 roles - non-traditional, color-blind casting; any gender considered for any role - all undergraduates encouraged to audition! 

AUDITION PREP:   Actors are encouraged to perform a contemporary monologue.  If actors don’t have a monologue prepared, they should pick up a side to read a scene from the play.  Copies of the script are available in the department offices at Page 109. Reserve an audition time here

Audition/crew call dates: Sunday October 21, 7-10p and Monday October 22, 6-9p 

 Students will work with faculty director and professional designers. Cast members have the option to register for THEATRST 350 (ALP, CCI, R) to receive academic credit for participation.  Enrollment is optional, but attendance is required.  Class meets once a week Tuesdays nights for two and a half hours starting January 15, with class time incorporated into the rehearsal schedule beginning February 11. Evening rehearsals Monday-Friday, 7-10p,  beginning February 11; actors called as needed. Eight performances  April 4 - 14 in the Sheafer Lab Theater.
