Elliott Loverin

Elliott Loverin

Academic Plans

  • 1st Major Psychology (AB)
  • 2nd Major Theater Studies (AB)

Elliott will be graduating with a double major in Psychology and Theater Studies. At Duke, he has had the amazing opportunity to contribute as a cast member (Hoof ’n’ Horn’s Rocky Horror Show and Beauty and the Beast, Duke Players’ Heathers, and HnH/Theater Studies’ RENT), pit orchestra member (HnH’s Little Shop of Horrors), costume shop and wardrobe (Twelfth Night, Eurydice) and choreographer (Heathers and Beauty and the Beast), as well as performing in various O Shows, cabarets, and new works with Hoof ’n’ Horn (Sundial, Last in the Class, New Works Festival 2024). He was a member of the Fall 2022 Duke in New York cohort, where he was able to explore theater arts and business in the greatest city in the world. When not involved in theater, he dances with Duke On Tap and plays flute in the marching and pep bands, as well as releasing his own music (Elliott Loverin on streaming services). He would like to thank his friends, family, partner, cat (Mildred), and the Theater Studies faculty (especially his advisor, Ryan Donovan, and supervisor Hannah Haverkamp) for helping him make it to the end of his Duke career in one piece. Post-graduation, he plans to continue performing as well as pursuing a graduate degree in expressive arts therapy.
